Kayak Coordinator Wanted - The Great Chesapeake Bay Swim is seeking a qualified Kayak Fleet Coordinator for the upcoming event on June 14, 2015. Significant experience as a kayak volunteer in previous GCBS events is a must. The Kayak Coordinator will interface with and direct all kayak volunteers who are integral members of the in-water safety net that surrounds the swimmers participating in the 4.4 mile GCBS and the 1 mile Chesapeake Challenge. The Kayak Coordinator assesses experience levels and assigns launch points for all kayak volunteers. Safety Fleet/Sweep Boat Volunteers Wanted - The Great Cheapeake Bay Swim is seeking safety fleet volunteers to participate in the upcoming eventon June 14, 2015. As members of the safty fleet, volunteers and their boats are the protective net that surrounds the 650 swimmers who challenge the Chesapeake Bay in the 4.4 mile open water swim from the Western Shore to the Eastern Shore.
