News – 2021 Bay Swim
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
February 4, 2021
Maryland is currently under a State of Emergency which includes quarantine requirements for travel, limits for indoor and outdoor gatherings, reduced capacity at training facilities and social distancing from other people not from your household. The health and safety of all athletes, volunteers and spectators are of the utmost importance. It is due to these COVID restrictions, we are unable to proceed with the planning and execution of the 2021 Great Chesapeake Bay Swim.
What happens if the State of Emergency is lifted?
Unfortunately, the decision to cancel the 2021 Bay Swim is final. The planning and training for an event our size begins months in advance and cannot be executed in haste.
Swimmers that paid an entry fee in 2020 and opted to rollover the entry fee have the following options selection:
Deadline to make a selection is February 28, 2021.
If you do not make a selection by that time, your entry fee will be donated to Great Chesapeake Bay Swim charity.
We hope you and your families have a safe and healthy 2021.
